Terms & Conditions

1. Scope
These terms apply to all paid goods and services offered by ALM Made, including Gear Repair and Reupholstery. Open-source Designs are governed separately by the Licence accompanying each design.

2. Warranty
Flat-rate repairs are provided without warranty. Custom work quoted individually may include a specific warranty at ALM Made's discretion, stated in writing as part of that quote. No warranty is implied beyond what is explicitly stated for a given job.

3. Limitation of Liability
ALM Made's liability for any good or service is limited to the amount paid for that specific job. ALM Made is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.

4. Estimates & Scope
All quotes are free. Scope and cost are communicated and agreed upon before work begins. Any change in scope discovered during the work will be communicated before proceeding, with cost adjusted accordingly.

5. Payment
Payment is accepted by e-Transfer. Each quote and invoice is assigned a reference number, which must be included in the e-Transfer memo to ensure proper matching to your project.

For Reupholstery specifically: materials and labour are invoiced separately. Payment for materials is required upfront and marks the start of the project. Payment for labour is due upon completion.

Items shipped to or from ALM Made are subject to the liability terms of the carrier used. ALM Made is not responsible for loss or damage occurring while an item is in a carrier's custody. For items exceeding the carrier's included coverage limit, the customer must purchase declared-value coverage through the carrier before shipping; ALM Made reserves the right to decline a job if this condition is not met.

6. Unclaimed Items
Completed items must be collected within 30 days of the invoice due date. After 30 days, a storage fee applies, added to the outstanding invoice. If an item remains uncollected 60 days after the invoice due date, ALM Made may exercise its rights as a repairer in possession of the goods, which may include sale or other disposition of the item, after reasonable attempts have been made to contact the customer.

7. Bartering
Arrangements outside standard payment may occasionally be considered, at ALM Made's sole discretion.

8. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The terms in effect at the time of your transaction with ALM Made govern that transaction. Updates apply to transactions going forward.

9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

Gear Repair addendum

Flat-rate repairs carry no warranty, per the general Warranty clause above.
Custom or involved repairs are quoted individually and may include a warranty specific to that job, at ALM Made's discretion.
